Supreme Court Directs ₹10 Lakh Interest Payment in Aruna Sugars Higher School Case

The Supreme Court of India has directed the payment of a lump-sum amount of ₹10 lakh towards interest in the case involving Aruna Sugars Higher School. The amount must be paid within eight weeks.

What Did the Supreme Court Order?

Following these directions, the Special Leave Petitions were disposed of. All pending applications connected with the case were also disposed of.

If the payment is not made within eight weeks, the person entitled to receive the amount may have to consider appropriate legal remedies for enforcement, depending on the circumstances and the exact terms of the order.

The parties should preserve copies of the Supreme Court order, payment records, bank details and all communications concerning compliance.

Legal Significance of the Order
